Arne Vodder

1926 — 2009

A student and close friend of Finn Juhl, he started out designing low-cost homes.  His work, principally in teak and rosewood, contained elegant lines and was free of sharp edges; a notable work was a sideboard with drawers shaped to avoid the need for handles.  His office furniture became quite popular in America, reaching the White House and many banks and embassies around the globe.
