Collection: Mogens Koch

1898 - 1992

Married to weaver Eva Koch, Mogens Koch worked within the paradigm of functionalism to elegantly solve problems of spatial limitation and comfort.  His “Folding Chair” is still being manufactured today.  He internalized the ideas of functionalism in creating indestructible, often modular, highly geometric designs.  Perhaps his most famous is for a book case installed in his own home, which emphasized space-saving, and adaptability to book proportions of the future.
